I have been tutoring students in math for 22 years. I have 8 years of teaching experience in public middle and high schools, and 1 year teaching college. I have a Master of Education degree from Western Washington University.

My goal in tutoring is to fix the holes in students’ math knowledge, so that they can get back to being independent math students. I determine what math skills and concepts students are lacking. I then teach students the math they need, tailoring lessons to students’ learning styles and abilities. I offer encouragement and direct feedback, helping students to gain understanding and confidence.
